Pre-existing customers of Nicholson Marine Services who refer a friend who has work completed by Nicholson Marine are eligible for a 5% discount off your next invoice, for a maximum discount of up to $100.00.  The friend who is referred is eligible for a 5% discount on his first Nicholson Marine invoice, for a maximum discount of up to $100.00.  The following terms and conditions apply:

1.)  The friend and the friend’s boat must be new to Nicholson Marine. 

2.)  The friend’s first invoice must total greater than $1,000.00.  The friend must give you permission to refer him and legitimately want work done and sign a work order to proceed.

3.)  The friend’s boat must be model year 1998 or newer, and a recreational vessel only.  (Work performed on newer systems on older boats does not apply.)

4.)  The boat must be located in Warwick or East Greenwich, RI.  Boats from other ports are eligible if brought to Nicholson Marine’s shop or service slip at Wharf Marina, Warwick, RI.

5.)  To redeem please email us at service@nicholsonmarine.com with your name and your friend’s name, and have your friend email us or call us to schedule service at 401-737-1881.  We must be contacted by both you and your friend.  Act now – this discount is only available for a limited time in 2009.

It’s really pretty simple but of course we have to include the following fine print as quirky situations tend to arise: 

Discounts do not apply to jet skis, jet boats, or outboard motors.   According to RI law, discounts are applied after tax.   The friend’s invoice must be paid in full within 30 days of invoice date, and his/her account in otherwise good standing, before the pre-existing Nicholson Marine customer is issued his/her discount.  Therefore if the pre-existing customer is invoiced for work completed by Nicholson Marine before work has been completed on the friend’s vessel, the discount will apply for the pre-existing customer’s next invoice and will not be credited to any previous invoice, or otherwise reimbursed.  Work is invoiced as soon as it is complete. The pre-existing customer’s account must be paid in full and in good standing (no late or decline/bounce fees on record) in order to receive the discount/credit. If any customer receives a discount, his/her bill must be paid in full within 30 days from the invoice date or the discount will be revoked and late fees applied. The pre-existing customer can save his discount for up to 6 months from the friend’s original invoice date if he/she would prefer to credit it towards a future invoice.  The discount expires 6 months from the friend’s original invoice. If the pre-existing customer sells his/her boat, the discount can be transferred to work performed on his/her new boat, if it is within the 6-month expiration date mentioned above.  There is no cash or other redemption if s/he sells his/her boat and does not buy another one.  The discount is not transferable to any other person or the buyer of the pre-existing customer’s boat.  This discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount or special promotion.  The discount cannot be used on any warranty claim or third-party billing. To be eligible Nicholson Marine must first be contacted by a pre-existing customer who states his friend's name as a referral, with the friend's permission, and requests the Refer-A-Friend discount.  New customers not referred by pre-existing customers are not eligible for this discount.  Nicholson Marine reserves the right to refuse any boat or job with or without cause, and if so is not responsible for any discount or reimbursement.
